Ensuring Our Future

What is the Heritage Society?

The Heritage Society is the name for BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship’s endowment.  This fund will provide sustained income for our Fellowship, now and in the years ahead.  Gifts to the Heritage Society are invested.  The derived income supports Congregational events and capital needs.

What difference will your endowment gift make?

Your gift enriches your connection to a religious community that shares similar beliefs and values.  It affirms your personal commitment to the inclusive mission of our fellowship and our free Unitarian Universalist faith.

Leave a unique legacy to those who come after.  Just as we inherit gifts from previous generations, so too will future members and friends BuxMont receive our gifts.

Free faith for future generations relies on a strong commitment by you.

Unitarian Universalists Comment on Providing for the Future

“In my will, I have provided for the Fellowship to receive a percentage of my estate.  It makes me feel good to know that I will have a part of the Fellowship of the future.”

“I have had paid-for life insurance for years as a hedge against unforeseen problems.  Now I am pleased to be able to name the Fellowship as a beneficiary on my insurance policy.  This supports my belief in a Unitarian Universalist future.”

“My estate plan includes a trust to minimize estate and tax problems.  I have been able to name the Fellowship as a recipient of funds from the trust.   For a humanist Unitarian Universalist like me, this is the closest I get to immortality!”

Optional Recognition of Heritage Society Membership

When you support BuxMont through your contribution to the Heritage Society, you can choose to be recognized for your commitment. You will be entitled to a Heritage Society logo attached to your Fellowship nametag as well as being added to a Heritage Society plaque (both are optional).  Your statement of commitment will encourage others to join the Heritage Society and to ensure BuxMont’s future.

What kinds of endowment gifts can I make?
