ADULT CHOIR

BuxMont’s Adult Choir will start rehearsals on Wednesday, September 6, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.  We typically sing two to three Sundays each month from September through June.  The choir is open to any youth and adults who wish to sing and can commit to our Wednesday night rehearsals. This is an “all comers” choir and we encourage everyone to participate at whatever level of musical skill and ability they bring. If you’d like to sing, come to our rehearsal, or contact John Hook.

We also have other specialty choirs, like the Family Choir and the Metaphysical singers.  For more information about these, take a look at the Music section.

SMALL GROUP MINISTRY

Small Group Ministries are groups of no more than 12 people who come together at least once a month to talk about their lives and have conversations about different topics.  If you have any interest in joining a group, please pick up a pamphlet from the pamphlet rack and a sign-up form at the Visitor’s Center.  Sign-up forms can be left in the folder on the Small Group Ministry bulletin board.

DIVERSITY TASK FORCE

The Diversity Task Force, an ad hoc committee that had been on haitus, will reconvene as of noon on Sunday, May 22. Our goal is to educate on and advocate for anti-racism, anti-oppression and diversity issues. For further information please contact Dena Condron.

ADULT DISCUSSION GROUP

The Adult Discussion Group meets in the Fireside Room at noon each Sunday, unless otherwise specified.  Although we are scheduling topics in advance, we will be flexible should other items come up for discussion.  All are welcome. Teens under 18 must have parental permission.  Please feel free to bring your lunch with you.

GAIA'S RAINBOW EVENTS

The First Day of Spring and the Full Moon occur at the same time this year. Join Gaia’s Rainbow and tap in to this powerful magickal occurrence at our annual Ostara Sabat on Friday, March 21 at 7 PM in the Sanctuary. Everyone is welcome to attend this celebration of life’s renewal.

For more information, contact Anne Adamczyk or Tammy Ciampoli.

Gaia’s Rainbow on the Neshaminy is a community of seekers who focus our spiritual exploration and renewal within the context of Earth-based and Pagan pathways.  We seek to support one another in the process of spiritual exploration; share and encourage a wealth and diversity of rituals and ideas; and provide a safe space for worship, growth and enlightenment.

INTERWEAVE

Interweave is BuxMont’s organization for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders and their heterosexual allies.

After eight years of monthly meetings, BuxMont’s Interweave will no longer be hosting this monthly forum.

We will maintain membership in Continental Interweave and active involvement in both JPD and Continental Interweave.

Rik Fire continues to serve on the Continental Nominating Committee, writes a regular column called “TranzWorld” for the Interweave World, and continues to serve on the JPD Interweave and Queer Concerns Committee.

Many thanks to all who have been involved over the years. A special thanks to Dick Johnston for his ally support and leadership.
