Endowment Fund Committee Chair Job Description 

The purpose of the Endowment Fund is to enhance the mission of the BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.  The Committee consists of three to five members recommended by the Nominating Committee and elected by the Congregation.  The term limit is three years.  The committee is overseen by the Vice President of Finance.  The Minister, Chair of the Board, and Treasurer are advisory members of the committee. 

The Chair of the Endowment Committee will: 

bulletPreside at meetings of the Endowment Fund Committee (EFC).
bulletAssure that the EFC meets at least quarterly.
bulletCooperates with an annual audit.
bulletReport Fund status and major activities to the Board of Trustees on a quarterly basis and to the Congregation at the annual meeting.
bulletAssure that asset management and distribution of earnings is properly executed.
bulletPromote giving to the Endowment Fund through donations, planned giving and other appropriate methods.
bulletRecognize donors to the fund as members of the Heritage Society.
